Welcome to the New River Church!! 

We are thankful you chose to drop by.  We are a new church plant that began in June 2007 in Forney, Texas.  We have a vision for the Kingdom of God in Forney and are excited about the opportunity to teach others about the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.

Our hope is to not only teach but help mature disciples as well.  The DNA of our church has been prayfully considered and structured according to God's word. When you come to New River there are expectations of every member to use your talents and abilities in order to further the mission of God - restoring the lost to Him.  You will see people from different backgrounds celebrating and learning about what it means to be a disciple.

Jesus said the greatest command was to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and the second one was to love your neighbor as yourself.  Jesus also gave us the great commmission to go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy spirit, teaching them to observe everything He commanded and He would be with us to the end of the age.  The New River Church puts the focus on these teachings.
